FIU School of Music presents Miami International GuitART Festival 2018 A LO CUBANO, celebrating Miami's Cuban heritage with extraordinary musicians from Cuba and around the world. Supported in part by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of its Knight Arts Challenge, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs, and the Miami-Dade County Tourist Development Council, the festival presents 11 concerts, 6 masterclasses, 5 lectures, LuthiersExpo, and composers panel, as well as concert artist performance and composition competitions. The festival kicks off on February 19 with the opening concert A LO CUBANO and features world class artists, such as Eduardo Martin, Galy Martin, Rene Izquierdo, Iliana Matos, Eliot Fisk, Marcin Dylla, Rafael Padron, Celso Cano, Pierre Bibault, Adam Levin, Mesut Ozgen, Amernet String Quartet, and FIU Symphony
