Best Buddies Friendship Walk: South Florida

The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Each walk provides an opportunity to see the Best Buddies mission in action at a local level. The event will bring together some of South Florida’s most notable residents and celebrity supporters. Among those expected to attend this year includes Best Buddies Founder and Chairman Anthony K. Shriver, Hip-Hop Artist Fat Joe, Former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine; Pop Artist Romero Britto, WSVN Anchor Craig Stevens, who will MC the walk, 2018 Miss Teen Florida and 2018 Miss Florida; and many more. Proceeds from the Friendship Walk are fundamental in supporting state programs that provide one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development. These programs can be found in all 50 states and will create promising opportunities for more than 350,000 people this year. Since 2009, more than 200,000 participants have walked in over 30 states, and raised over $16 million for Best Buddies. 8 am – Registration Opens 9:30 am – 1 Mile Competitive Run 10 am – 5K All Inclusive Walk 11 am – Lunch and Awards 11:30 am – Family Festival
