Saturday Morning Cartoons Exhibit by Christopher Ian Macfarlane

The Young At Art Museum is opening a new exhibit in their largest gallery space, the Knight Gallery, called Saturday Morning Cartoons. The colorful cartoon Kingdom created by award-winning muralist Christopher Ian Macfarlane is officially on display from June 9th through September 16th, 2018. This Young At Art original exhibit, jam-packed with activities for young kids to teenagers, can be appreciated by art, and cartoon fans of any age. Artist Christopher Ian Macfarlane, voted Best Muralist by New Times Broward/Palm Beach, has created an immersive experience filled with original animation, moving animatronic sculptures, large paintings and interactive art. Exhibition highlights include: - Candyfall Play Area | Slide into the Candyfall and play inside a giant bowl of King Kapow’s candy cereal. - Candy Cane Bowling | Challenge your friends to a game of candy cane bowling. - Swedish Fishing | Grab a pole and go fishing for Swedish Fish sculptures. - Costume Making Art Station | Make your own costume so you are properly dressed to star in your own cartoon. - Green Room | Learn how to use a real green screen and star in your own video. - Candy Kitchen | Role play as the world’s greatest candy chef. Entrance to Saturday Morning Cartoons is included with admission to Young At Art Museum: $14 per person; $12 for Broward County residents, seniors and children over age 1; and $11 for military members and their immediate families.
