Community Event, Education, Convention, Ethnic

The NAAHP in partnership with Florida International University (FIU) and the City of North Miami will be bringing the largest gathering of Haitian Diaspora professionals back to the greater Miami area. This year’s conference theme – The Haitian Diaspora: Disrupting and Redefining the Road Ahead will be taking place from October 25 – 27, 2018 at the Kovens Conference Center, located on FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami. The 2018 theme will touch on many timely issues including best practices in leadership, technology, entrepreneurship, innovation, professional development, foreign aid and investment, diversity and inclusion and the role of the Diaspora and millennials in shaping the future workforce in the US, Haiti and abroad. As in years past, the conference will provide a lively space to consider the ways in which innovative and transformative ideas can be successfully leveraged to positively shape the future of the Diaspora and their professional narrative. The 2015 conference was held on the FIU campus and the NAAHP is pleased to renew its collaboration via a partnership with FIU and the City of North Miami. The 2015 conference welcomed more than 500+ Diaspora professionals, business and political leaders, entrepreneurs, students and educators. Events were held throughout the city of North Miami and closed with the NAAHP Honors Gala which celebrated the accomplishments of Haitian changemakers who made a difference in their industries and community at large. Each year, through candid and holistic conversations, the NAAHP assembles an expert and diverse range of panelists and keynote speakers from across the globe to provide a forum for meaningful engagement among the Haitian Diaspora.
