Mixtape Mondays

Museum,Talks/Lectures,Education,Computers/Technology,History/Science

Mixtape Mondays present ideas from FIU faculty, using the museumís collection as a focal point to talk about their research interests. Join us for an informal conversation over free drinks provided by our sponsor Biscayne Bay Brewing Company. This week, Dr. Mario Eraso will discuss the intersections of mathematics and computational thinking for middle school children. Eraso participates in STEM outreach activities for elementary and secondary schools, provides students with academic support, and assists faculty with including educational components in grant proposals. He is behind several innovative educational tools, including a three-slope scooter ramp and a roof-like structure called the penta-hut.
