HANDY (Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth), an award- winning non-profit that provides life skills, education and a supportive community for Broward County children in foster and relative/nonrelative care, announced its 14th Annual Scholars Breakfast will take place at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 31, in the Crystal Ballroom at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina. This year’s ‘Believe in the Dream’ breakfast, presented by Breakthru Beverage and Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina, will recognize HANDY’s 2019 Graduating Scholars, Champions of Children and Legacy Award winners. Emcee: Rob Furman. Event Speaker and Alumni Award Winner: Dr. Charmaine Borda. 2019 Graduating Scholars: Ashley Abraham – Florida International University. Deja Cross – Broward College. Lexi Cunningham – Florida International University. Ryan Dominque – University of North Florida. Renato Lherisson – Florida International University. Amber Manning – Florida International University.
