36th Annual SE Florida Scottish Festival and Games

36th Annual Southeast Florida Scottish Festival and Games. Saturday March 2, 2019, at Plantation Heritage Park. Join us for a day of celebrating Scottish Culture and Heritage. Highlights include massed bagpipe bands, Scottish heavy athletics, country dancing, highland dancing, Scottish clans and societies, fiddling and singing, piping and drumming competitions, children’s games, sheepherding, archery, living history demonstrations, Scottish food, drink, and merchandise. Live music performances feature Seven Nations, The Mudmen (Celtic rock) and Grade 1 City of Dunedin Pipe Band. Hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM., rain or shine, no refunds. Admittance is $15 at ticket outlets and on-line in advance/ online and $20 at the gate. Children 6-14, $3. Under 6 free. Ticket price includes Park entry fee and parking. Heritage Park is located west of Ft. Lauderdale at: 1100 S. Fig Tree Lane (W 63rd Ave). (North of the I595 on Peters Rd. between SR441 and University Drive). Friday, March 1: Ceilidh with featured entertainers 8-10pm; POA Hall 4500 SW 13th Street (Peters Road), Ft Lauderdale $15. Strut into Spring!

Canine Assisted Therapy Dogs is holding its 3rd Annual Pup Strut. The event will be on Sunday, March 10th at Plantation Heritage Park in Plantation from 10am-1pm. This is CAT's primary dog-friendly fundraising event. Demonstrations, vendors, contests and more. Prizes will be awarded for: Best Dressed Pooches. Pet/Owner Look-a-like Contest. Best Pet Tricks. Top Fundraiser. Top Fundraising Team. Entrance for humans is $5.00. Dogs are free. Kids under 12 are free.
