Bowl Building 101 with Della Heiman and Chef Julie Frans

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to cook with Della Heiman and Chef Julie Frans of della bowls for a very special cooking class at The Wynwood Yard. Kick off Spring as we learn several "secret recipes" and cooking techniques used at della bowls, getting an in-depth look at our ingredient selections and the art of perfect bowl-building. Enjoy refreshing kombucha courtesy of Radiate while you get cooking, building your own bowl. You'll hear the stories of how della bowls came to be, make recipes in teams and as a class, watch demonstrations, and have a chance to hone your skills as a pro bowl builder. End your culinary adventure by devouring your very own custom bowl for a hearty dinner, made by you. The first 10 "Early bird" tickets are only $44, then the ticket price goes to $49. Space is limited and seats will go quickly. Shabbat at The Yard is back! We invite you to join us for a magical evening to celebrate community and enjoy delicious food and drinks. This all-inclusive feast includes a welcome cocktail and wine pairings with dinner. This month, we welcome back Anita Sharma and Mathew Webb to craft an Indian-inspired Shabbat in collaboration with our own Chef Julie Frans. The night's offerings explore the beautiful and flavorful kinds of Indian cuisines with a Yard twist: Mezze: Fine Filo Cochin Pastel stuffed with Burnt Cumin, Cashew Nut, Roasted Butternut & Acorn Squash. Served with Annam Apricot Chutney (VV). Ancient Green Chutney Hulba Dip with Fenugreek Seeds, Garlic, Lemon, Coriander, Ginger and Green Chili, Served with Papadum (GF, VV). Red Lentil & Coriander Pakora Fritters (GF, VV). Indian Style Gobi (Cauliflower) with Peas (GF, VV). House Pickled Okra with Mustard Seed & Curry (GF, VV). First Course: Radish Carpaccio: A variety of thinly sliced pickled Mooli (Radish) with Lemon, Mint Yogurt & Chaat Masala (GF, VV). Beach Style Chaat: Shredded Carrot, Cucumber, Onion, Herbs, Puffed Rice, Slivered Almonds, Lemon & Chili (GF, VV). Mains: Olan: Keralan Coconut Curry with Winter Melon, Green Beans, Ginger, Black-eye Peas and Curry Leaves (GF/VV). Young Entrepreneur Day at The Yard

The Wynwood Yard’s entrepreneurial spirit soars this January as it spotlights Miami’s youngest and brightest minds at its inspiring Young Entrepreneurs Day, with the generous support of presenting sponsor, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Kids and teens will show us their business chops, share their ideas and motivate our community with their infectious determination, while guests kick-start some of your own ideas through demos, workshops, readings, info booths and activities. Peruse the Wynwood Yard grounds, enjoy live music throughout the afternoon from Live! Modern Music and Young Musicians Unite, fuel up with eats from the food concepts at The Yard and sip on soft drinks, lemonade or libations from The Bar at The Yard. Visit pop-up booths by Huizenga Business Innovation Academy at Nova Southeastern University and other local businesses and organizations to learn about their products and services, cast your vote for the young entrepreneur you feel has the most compelling pitch during the Young Entrepreneurs Pitch portion of the day, helping them land cash prizes up to $1,500 to take their business to the next level. Last, but not least, meet and mingle with veteran Young Entrepreneur Day kidpeneurs and new budding business leaders including Zoe Terry, 12, founder of non-profit organization, Zoe’s Dolls; Brothers Brandon and Sebastian Martinez, 12 and 10 years old respectively, of AreYouKidding, aka AYKSocks; Food and beverage budding business-owner Miriam Jackson of Miriam’s Lemonade Stand serving up her own blend of refreshing “lemonade with a twist you can’t miss”; 14 year-old kidpreneur, Zahriel Dormeus of Zahmazingbowtique, designer of beautifully-crafted bow ties for kids, adults and even pets; Rustica Desserts, a sweet family affair by sisters, Luci and Bae Wuo, that whip up Brazilian confection brigadeiros and its crunchy version, palha; Immokalee High School student group, Taste of the Immokalee.

Nutritious Nights: An Aphrodisiac Affair

Join us for Nutritious Nights: An Aphrodisiac Affair and indulge in all things that tickle your senses. Let's just say, you won't leave feeling hungry, in any respect. On February 15th, guests will experience a unique type of dining, curated to give your entire body a dose of fun loving with food to stimulate your body, music to tantalize your ears and libations to relax your muscles. We welcome back Susan Cartiglia of Radiate Miami to collaborate with our own culinary director, Julie Frans, and Functional Medicine MD, Dr Jarred Mait to teach us more about holistic living through nutrition. This gorgeous evening will be complete with a 4-course dinner under the stars; wine, cocktails, and kombucha; live music by jazz artist, Jahzel Dotel and company. Guests can look forward to an incredible, aphrodesiac-infused, mostly plant-based (and totally gluten-free) menu. *fish option for main entree. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Food Justice Program at The Wynwood Yard. Menu: Welcome Drinks. Champagne & Vodka Cocktail with Strawberries. New Old Fashioned with Orange & Cherry. Seated dinner: Red & White Wine. Kombucha- Variety of Radiate offerings. Amuse: Fermented Spicy Chili Gazpacho with Whipped Avocado (VV). First Course: Beet and Artichoke Heart Salad with Pumpkin Seeds and Kombucha Vinaigrette (VV). Main | Choice of: Salmon Three Ways - 1) gravlax with Radiate dehydrated crackers, shaved fermented fennel and fresh herbs. 2) Miso glazed salmon with confetti ferment. 3) Pistachio crusted salmon with baby arugula, basil, and fig "salad". Or - Plant-Based Three Ways (VV). 1) Watermelon Crudo with Radiate dehydrated crackers, shaved fermented fennel and fresh herbs. 2) Miso glazed Be Cultured Tempeh with confetti ferment. 3) Pistachio crusted Panelle with baby arugula, basil, and fig "salad".
