Historic Places, Green Spaces Educational Program

Education

Education is at the forefront of Dade Heritage Trust’s mission to preserve Miami’s historical, environmental and cultural heritage. Consequently, we are introducing a new education program for K-8 students—Historic Places, Green Spaces. Parents and educators, tours will take place at Miami’s downtown Lummus Park on the Miami River, utilizing the historic Fort Dallas barracks and the William Wagner Homestead as teaching tools. We are also looking for a dedicated team of volunteers to lead the tours. We will provide all the resources and training you need to facilitate the tours. If you have any questions, would like to book a tour or are interested in volunteering, please contact the School Programs Manager, Lucia Meneses at education@dadeheritage.org or 305-358-9572.
