Cirque du Soleil: Corteo

Experimental/Perf. Art,Play,Circus

Created and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, 'Corteo' is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the pasion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels.

Disturbed

Rock,Metal

Chicago's Disturbed came together through the matching of a band with a singer. Long-time friends Dan Donegan Mike Wengren and Fuzz played together for some time before hooking up with singer David Draiman around 1997. Together, the group's thrashing sound built up a following on Chicago's South Side, leading to a record deal and the release of their debut album, 'The Sickness,' in 2000. The band gained more exposure playing at the 2001 Ozzfest, and it snowballed from there. In 2016, the band made a mainstream splash with their brooding, intense cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic, "The Sound of Silence."
