Gad Elmaleh: The Dream Tour

Stand Up Comedy

Gad Elmaleh is one of the biggest and most recognizable comedic talents in the world. Since his move to the United States, Gad has quickly grown from being France's most popular standup comedian to becoming a global comedy sensation. Overseas, Gad made history by selling out the prestigious Olympia theater hall in Paris for seven consecutive weeks, a feat that had never before been accomplished. In the U.S., Gad performed more than fifty nights to sold-out crowds at Joe's Pub in New York City, which led to a major U.S. tour, culminating in a sold-out show at Carnegie Hall. In addition to his film work, Gad has two Netflix Originals: The first, Gad Gone Wild, showcases his impressive multi-lingual ability. The second, Gad Elmaleh: American Dream, is performed in English and throws his audience into hysterics as Gad recalls his experiences moving from Paris to New York, struggling to flirt with women in New York clubs, and how he wants to visit the Paris that Americans always talk about but doesn't really exist. Gad has also made memorable appearances on a number of American television programs including Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Daily Show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and more. On stage, Gad continues to cement himself as one of the most widely known and beloved standup comedians working today.

Founded in 1958, a group of Chinese acrobats and martial artists officially became known as the company of the Chinese Warriors of Peking. Talks/Lectures

Annie Leibovitz is one of the most influential photographers of our time. In an exclusive Miami event to mark the publication of a revised and expanded edition of Annie Leibovitz at Work (Phaidon), she will present and discuss a selection of her pictures. Originally published in 2008, Annie Leibovitz at Work was written with young photographers in mind, but it provides an illuminating view of Leibovitz’s photographic practice for a broad audience. There are stories behind some of her best-known images—Richard Nixon’s resignation, the Rolling Stones on tour, Queen Elizabeth II—as well as discussions of lighting, cameras, studios, photojournalism, working with writers, and the ten things she is always asked. Annie Leibovitz’s astute observations of American life have had a prominent place in the cultural landscape for nearly five decades. She has received many honors, including the International Center of Photography’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the Centenary Medal of the Royal Photographic Society, the Wexner Prize, and the Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities. She is a Commandeur in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and has been designated a Living Legend by the Library of Congress. Each full price ticket includes a copy of Annie Leibovitz at Work.
