17th Annual Signature Grand Ghoul Benefiting 2-1-1 Broward presented by Calvin Giordano & Associates. •Please join Signature Grand and 2-1-1 Broward for a spook-tacular evening at the 17th Annual Signature Grand Ghoul. Signature Grand will once again be transformed into a 100,000 square-foot haunted mansion for the Halloween celebration. •Former Miami Dolphin player O.J. McDuffie will serve as the emcee for the event. •Put on your dancing shoes and stylish costumes for a night of fun in the spooky themed mansion. This thrilling party will feature music by All Star Events and a variety of entertainment that will have everyone wondering when the next spine-chilling surprise will take place! •There will be a Costume Contest where judges will select party goers, throughout the evening, based on their creativity, fear factor, and originality of their costumes. Finalists will be brought up on stage for an overall crowd vote. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place for the scariest and most unique costumes. •The evening will afford all guests the opportunity to mix and mingle with NFL Alumni, local celebrities and other South Florida notables. •At the open bar, guests will be able to sip on specialty cocktails fresh from a witch’s cauldron. Guests will also indulge in a delectable gourmet buffet with elaborate food stations. •The VIP Section will be located in the main room. Guests will have access to the spook-tacular area throughout the night and enjoy hanging out with special guests and enjoying VIP treats. •The famed Silent Auction is set to take place featuring high-end items, exciting experiences and prize packages. •All proceeds raised during the event will benefit 2-1-1 Broward. Early Bird Tickets: $75 per person through October 8. Regular $100 per person and $150 for two. Active Club 2-1-1 Member tickets are $75 per person. VIP tickets are $125 per person.

Nationally Recognized 31st Annual National Philanthropy Day

Community Event

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fort Lauderdale/Broward Chapter announced the honorees of the 31st Annual National Philanthropy Day® Awards presented by Signature Grand, a nationally recognized event. This day is set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy. The general public nominated outstanding Broward philanthropists whose contributions have made a significant impact in the organizations they serve and the community as a whole. Awardees will be honored at a luncheon presented by Signature Grand on Thursday Nov. 1 at Signature Grand, Davie, Fla. Guests may register at 11:00 a.m. and the luncheon begins at 12:00 p.m. Over 500 philanthropists, community leaders, non-profit organizations, and volunteers will gather on National Philanthropy Day to honor these outstanding philanthropic leaders, who have invested their passion, time, talents, and financial support to better our community. The luncheon will feature a special performance by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Shine MSD Students. The 2018 honorees are: Outstanding Philanthropist Award: Kathy and Ron Assaf. Outstanding Large Corporation Award: Florida Power & Light (FPL). Outstanding Small Corporation Award: Durée & Company. Outstanding Foundation Award: Moss Foundation. Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award: Joshua Williams. Outstanding Organization Award: Jessica June Children's Cancer Foundation. Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award: Meredith Feder, CFRE – Museum of Discovery and Science. Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award: Steve J. Halmos. President’s Award (Creative Impact): Broward Education Foundation (in their efforts to raise funds post Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy). Proceeds from the event provide scholarships for professional education and advancement as well as funds for special education opportunities. Individual tickets for the luncheon are $75.00. Event sponsorships are available and range from $15,000 to $10,000. Also, ads may also be purchased in the AFP Journal for prices ranging from $50 to $300 and Table Honoree’s will be a table of ten available.
