Simply Three

Arts Ballet Theatre: Spring Ballet Gala

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, under the direction of Ballet Master Vladimir Issaev ends its season with a classical repertoire that only high quality dancers can perform. Jules Massenet's portrait of a lonely-hearted dreamer obsessed with a love he can never have is one of the greatest of all Romantic operas. Werther's tale of unrequited love is based on Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther, one of the enduring classics in German literature, and memorably probes the question: how far can one man go in his single-minded passion for one woman? (Sung in French, with projected translations in English and Spanish.) Dance Now! Miami: Program III - Bridges NOT Walls

World Dance

Dance NOW! Miami, South Florida's leading contemporary dance company graces the stage of the Amaturo Theatre for the first time, bringing their unique style of relevant, meaningful and impactful dance to the stage in their trademark sinewy, poetic, athletic and graceful style. The evening will feature an encore presentation of their critically acclaimed Bridges NOT Walls using the language of dance to unite cultures, dispel biases, and diffuse political tensions; sharing hope for humanity through art. This Broward performance comes on the heels of the company's April tour to Italy where they presented Bridges in Florence and Rome. 23rd Annual Festival Yachad - Israeli Dance Festival

This year's Festival Yachad's theme will be "Mitzvot" and each choreography will portray a different "mitzvah" that is done by the Jewish people, such as lighting the Shabbat candles, blessing of the wine, putting "tfilin" or going to the "mikveh". More than 100 dancers from abroad (Brazil, Mexico, Panama & Israel) will join our 600 local dancers in a breathtaking performance featuring original soundtrack, incredible costumes and special sound and lighting effects. Disney's Beauty & the Beast Jr: A Summer Theater Camp Production

Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. The show features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
