Biltmore Ball to Benefit the Coral Gables Community Foundation

Benefit/Fundraiser

What could be more magical than reveling oneself in the art, history, romance and classic Venetian gothic architecture of the “City of Masks?" Roused by the mysteries and veiled escapades possible in Venice, the Coral Gables Community Foundation and gala co-chairs Sissy DeMaria and Lauren Harrison will present the Biltmore Ball to Benefit the Coral Gables Community Foundation: Venetian Fantasy, a black tie and masquerade benefit on Friday, October 5th at the landmark Biltmore Hotel. Attendees of the Foundation’s 27th annual gala will be graced with a mystical journey along the famed Grand Canal, exploring hidden secrets of Venice, that evoke the spirit of the grand masterpiece of gothic architecture such as the Palazzo Ducale and the opulence of the Church of Gold, St. Mark’s Square. The Foundation will once again honor revered members of the community who enhance the quality of life for those living in the City Beautiful. Past recipients include: Trish and Dan Bell, Nancy and Jon Batchelor, Swanee and Paul DiMare, Armando Codina, Manny Medina & the Medina Family, Dave Lawrence, Marie-Ilene and Tom Whitehurst, Jeff & Yolanda Berkowitz, Mike Lowell, Ed and Carol Williamson and Tom Murphy Jr. and the Murphy Family, among others. “We thrilled to once again partner with the iconic Biltmore Hotel and delighted to unmask this year’s theme,” said Sissy De Maria Gala Co-Chair for the fourth year in a row. “Guests are invited to celebrate the fantasy of Venice at this fabulous masquerade soiree. This year promises to be the best in Foundation history.” “The Coral Gables Community Foundation’s Biltmore Ball is a time-honored tradition for our organization. The Biltmore Hotel, now celebrating its 92nd year as a Coral Gables landmark and grand dame of Miami resorts, with its striking Mediterranean architecture will inspire guests with the romance of ancient Europe while serving up an unforgettable evening of unmatched glamour, and Italian gastronomic delights, accompanying the mystical journey of the Venetian Fantasy.
