Before March & The Von

Before March consists of Briana Marie (lead vocalist), Eli Kovacs (lead guitarist), Mckenna Page (drummer), Khallid Carter (bassist), and Tyler Gibbons (rhythm guitarist).?Formed back in January of this year, they’re relatively new to the local music scene but can put on a show like they’ve been playing together for years. Having performed at various venues around the South Florida area, they’re well known for their powerful and spirited live performances. Before March can create an energetic atmosphere just about anywhere… The Von (internationally acclaimed rock band) chose their name to challenge the listener to think outside of the box, to stand above familiar labels, and to believe anything is possible with determination and dedication. The Von plays with an impressive light/backlight show, glowing instruments, and enjoyable sonic experience.

Greg Diamond & Nuance Quartet

All About Jazz hails Diamond, who is of mixed Colombian and Jewish origin, as “a rising star in the New York jazz scene..”Latin Jazz Network writes that Diamond is a “composer of great maturity and genius” and featured his sophomore release “Conduit” [Dot Time 2012] as an Editor’s Pick for “Best Albums of 2012”. Indeed, Diamond has cultivated a distinguishable sound with his own his writing, a crack ensemble, and his use of the electric guitar — an instrument not often associated with this genre.

Singer, guitarist, composer, drummer, and percussionist, Vinicius Cantuaria is well-known Brazilian musician in the sphere of Bossa Nova and Jazz. Born in Manaus (Amazon), he grew up in Rio, and after several successful records, he moved to New York in the mid-90’s. He has proved himself in a number of fields, directly or indirectly linked to Brazilian music. Leader of rock band “O Terco”, he released six albums in Brazil in the 80s and with his album “Sol ne Cara” (Grammavision), was a pioneer of the neo-Brazilian music in 1996.

The Five Boroughs

Formed in 1986 in South Florida by singer Frank Lovino to carry on the tradition of the harmony vocal groups of the 1950s and 1960s. The Five Boroughs originally consisted of several transplanted New Yorkers, many of whom were longtime veterans of the doo-wop circuit. The vocal quartet took their name from their origins further north, namely the boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx in New York. The group is now celebrating 33 years of performances in Florida and throughout the United States.

Spencer and Sequoia: Live in Florida

Spencer and Sequoia began as an intercontinental musical collaboration via email. In her hometown of Auckland, New Zealand, Sequoia would write and record demos. Those demos would get sent to Spencer, a Seattleite living in New York. He would then work on the songs with his band, and they'd send their work back to Sequoia. When she finally made the trip to America to perform with the band, what started as a musical connection became much more. Come see the dynamic duo share their love and music.

Yvette Norwood-Tiger

Yvette Norwood-Tiger, vocalist, songwriter, vocal coach, recording artist and The Recording Academy (GRAMMY) voting member, is a Detroit, Michigan native who hails from a family of musicians, including a father who played guitar and a mother who played drums. Yvette is the founder and director of the Palm Beach International Jazz Festival Organization. Her CDs, A'LA ELLA! and whY NoT... Love, Peace, Joy, Jazz, features music from great composers such as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and the Gershwins. Her current project, CD titled LOVE IS, celebrates the many aspects of love with jazz standards and original compositions. Yvette’s general repertoire includes jazz standards, bebop, and Latin jazz. She performs with vocally clean and pure interpretations of the great American Songbook, while emphasizing intonation and storytelling. Her vocal styling and texture is often compared to that of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.
