Classical Dance

Tanya Saxena is passionate about dance. Having trained rigorously under the watchful eyes of renowned Bharatanatyam Guru, Padma Bhushan Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan, and mentored under the gifted dancer Rama Vaidyanathan, Tanya continues to explore, practice and delve into the depths of Bharatanatyam.Tanya is at present pursuing her Masterís in Performing Arts from Tanjavur University, and teaching at her Guruís institute, Ganesa Natyalaya in New Delhi. Madhura Sane is an experienced and extremely passionate kathak dancer. She is a graduate (Prabhakar from Prayag Sangit Samiti and Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya) in Kathak Classical Dance (Jaipur Gharana). She learnt Kathak Indian Classical Dance from Prabhakar/Visharad Madhumita Ghosh and Padmashri Dr. Roshan Kumari (Exponent in Kathak Jaipur Gharana) for 17 plus years. Her latest performances include Thumri, Gat Bhaav, Tarana, Chaturang and Kathak fusion with contemporary music. She has been teaching Kathak since 1994 and preparing students for their Kathak dance theory and practical exams (Gandharva, Prayag or Samved curriculum).

Apratim Majumdar: has mastered Sarod, fretless string instrument of the lute family. He was initially tutored and groomed by Prof. Rabin Ghosh, disciple of Ustad Alauddin Khan in strict discipline and style of Senia Maihar Gharana. He also received training from Shree Partho Sarothy, disciple of Ustad Dhyanesh Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar. Presently he is under the training of Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, one of the senior most disciples of Pt. Ravi Shankar. He is performing throughout India and regularly traveling on concert tour to Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Austria , Netherlands and USA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcrTq6BjGh0 Shankhachur Lahiri: (Tabla) Shankhachur Lahiri comes from a family with a strong tradition of Indian Classical Music and has fully devoted his life to Music. As a child, he received intensive training in both vocal and tabla from his father and went on to graduate with a Sangeet Visharad in both subjects.He has accompanied and toured with many reputed and front ranking artists such as Pt. Jasraj, Ustad Shujaat khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Arati Ankalikar and many more.
